Arriving in the city of Adelaide in the afternoon, you’ll have the choice of a city tour or a trip to the spectacular Adelaide Hills featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf.

You’ll awake to the seemingly endless expanse of the sweeping Nullarbor Plain. Breakfast is served as you travel along the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. Following a leisurely breakfast, you’ll step off the train for a short stop in Cook. Once a bustling railway community, now effectively a ghost town, Cook gives new meaning to the expression “middle of nowhere”. Arriving in Perth, the cosmopolitan capital of Western Australia, having finished an epic Australian journey end-to-end. Perth is a city that combines sophisticated attractions and cultural landmarks with beautiful beaches and an easy-going attitude to create one of Australia’s most liveable cities. A stone’s throw away are numerous nature and national parks, where forests are carpeted in wildflowers, roped in walking and cycling trails, which are home to various wildlife.

Arriving in Melbourne for a two-night stay, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city’s exciting mix of style, sport, culture, and dining. Famed for its markets, you’ll find everything from local produce to arts and crafts and vintage fashion. The inner city’s leafy sections have a European feel, alongside New York-style 1950s art deco high-rises. Away from the bustle, you’ll find nearby Yara Valley, where you could taste world-class wines and walk through lush forests.

Head to one of its many museums and art galleries, sample some of the city’s celebrated craft beers or embark on the historical Wellington Cable Car, an attraction widely recognised as a symbol of the city. Taking five minutes to reach the top, you’ll roll through the landscapes and capture fantastic views of the ocean and sprawling city below.

Christchurch is one of the world’s most unique destinations as it combines urban regeneration with heritage charms. Although it’s the largest city in New Zealand’s South Island, Christchurch is still small enough to be explored on foot. Perhaps the best way of seeing this compact city is on the hop- on, hop-off tram. There are 17 stops, which include punting on the River Avon, which runs through the heart of the city. However, to really soak up the spectacular surroundings of the city, take the Christchurch Gondola - a scenic cable-car ride.
