Your Itinerary

There’s something distinctly refined and regal about a Cunard cruise and the beautiful Queen Victoria certainly upholds the fine traditions of this luxury line. Even before you board this beautiful ship you’ll note the trademark black and red livery which, together with her sleek modern design, immediately sets the theme of proud cruising heritage married with innovative features for today’s cruise guests. From her plush, elegantly decorated public rooms to her gourmet dining and luxurious, spacious cabins, Queen Victoria exudes class. The range of options for high-quality entertainment and enrichment, as well as serene relaxation make for the cruise holiday of a lifetime.

Situated in the North East of England, Newcastle is a city which blends a spirited mix of heritage, history and culture (and not to forget an infamously lively nightlife scene!) Highlights of the city include the Victoria Tunnel, a 2.5 mile long atmospheric underground world used an air-raid shelter in WWII; the Discovery Museum which showcases Tyneside’s history and the Biscuit Factory, now a contemporary art gallery.

The castle looms high on a rocky hill overlooking the imposing Georgian buildings of the city. The city is rich in culture, with the famous Edinburgh Festival held every year. Climb Arthur’s Seat and admire the view of the city, or laze in the beautiful green Princes Street Gardens inbetween your shopping. Be sure to catch the one o’clock gun salute from the castle.

The picturesque village of Invergordon lies near the head of a Fjord and is surrounded by the mountains and gentle rolling farmland of the Scottish Highlands. Visit the one of the many castles surrounding this area for an insight into the local history. Nearby Loch Ness offers spectacular views over the famous Loch, home to the famous monster ‘Nessie.’ Cathedrals, forts, battlefields and the Glenmorangie Distillery are all places of interest.

Greenock is just a short distance from Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland and famous for its thriving live music scene. Explore the wealth of museums and galleries, visit the stunning Gothic cathedral, and stroll through the beautiful green parks throughout the city. Glasgow also boasts the best shopping in Scotland and offers plenty of pubs and diverse restaurants.

Liverpool is well known for its cultural scene. Explore its superb art galleries and museums, walk past the beautiful listed buildings along the dockside, or catch a performance at the Empire Theatre. There are a great selection of pubs, restaurants and cafés in this vibrant, up-and-coming city.

St Peter Port is set on the island of Guernsey surrounded by beautiful sprawling countryside. This charming village is home to a number of historical buildings and attractions. Visit the Fort Grey, Martello tower with views across the stunning bay, the ship wrecked museum, castle Carey or Castle Cornet. Walks through the countryside lead you to sheltered bays and cliff tops overlooking the scenic island.

The UK’s largest homeport, Southampton lies on the south coast of England on a stretch of water known as The Solent. Explore Southampton’s maritime heritage, including the permanent Titanic exhibition at SeaCity Museum. Visit Tudor House and Garden to discover over 800 years of history in the Old Town. Call at Southampton City Art Gallery to view modern British art. Wander around the harbour, taking in the 12th-century Bargate, built as part of the original city fort.
